This initiative proposes that video game publishers selling or licensing games in the EU must ensure those games remain playable, even after support ends.
It aims to stop publishers from remotely disabling games without first offering a way for them to keep working without the publisher’s help.
The initiative does not seek ownership, intellectual property, or revenue rights, nor does it require publishers to continue supporting the game after it’s made playable in a self-sufficient state.
